Summer Reading Opportunities

There are two summer reading opportunities available for our students.  K-5 students can participate in either or both opportunities and sixth graders can participate in the Fairfax County Public Library Summer Reading Adventure. Links to the information about each program are below.

K-5 ONLY: Ravensworth Summer Learning Bingo Card - complete 5 activities in a row and have your name entered for a chance to win a Barnes and Noble gift card!  Your name is entered once for each row of 5 activities that you complete (please print the card at home from the school website, get a copy from the library or your teacher, or pick one up from the office).

K-6: Fairfax County Public Library Summer Reading AdventureOceans of Possibilities – here’s how to participate:

  1. Go to fairfaxcounty.beanstack.org and pre-register for the 2022 Summer Reading Adventure appropriate for your age. (Need to create a Beanstack account? Create one on the Beanstack website or by downloading the Beanstack Tracker App. See our Beanstack sign-up instructions.)
  2. Once the Adventure begins on June 10, explore a variety of engaging activities, choose the ones you want to complete and collect virtual badges.
  3. When you have earned ten badges, visit your neighborhood library branch and receive prizes for finishing the program!

Don't want to use Beanstack to log summer reading activities? On June 10, you can download a paper log or get one from your neighborhood library branch. Return your log by August 12, 2022 to receive prizes for completing the program!
